Joanna Marais is a Melbourne based artist specialising in large abstract resin pieces.
Many works simply evolve into whatever they're meant to be through the process of creating and experimenting. Others are inspired by the local seaside landscape, aerial photographs or every day objects.
Resin brings bright, brilliant colour and depth to any painting. Adding different paints, powders and inks, which all interact in different ways with the resin, ensure every piece is completely unique.
